HSH Nordbank Run 2008
"Children help Children"

Hamburg, 14 June 2008.

RUN FOR THE GOOD CAUSE

The Hafen City on Saturday,14 June 2008 pulsated like never before. As many as 964 teams with 28 202 runners started the seventh HSH Nordbank Run by growing district of Hamburg on the river Elbe. The participants consisted of teams from companies, universities, schools, etc. The HSH Nordbank Run 2008 has became the largest northern run event.

With the initiative "Children help children" of daily news paper "Hamburger Abendblatt", five euros were donations per participants. Thus about 150 000 Euros were collected for charity help for Children in Africa.

Around 25 students from Northern institute of Technology Management (NIT) took part in the run.

The whole event featured a full day entertainment program around the track and in the Hafen City and in the evening there was an open air party in the HSH nordbank Arena (hamburg Football stadium)
